Announcements 

  • Scott doing lab cleanup this week.
Subsystem Discussion 
  • General
    • Budgets due.  No one turned in budget.  Will have for next week.
    • Any word on Darpa money?  Proposal has been accepted by Darpa.  No word on when it will arrive though.
  • Miscellaneous 
    • Update on OGIWED work.  Sean has converted Mac Canvas files to PC format.  They can be read by both PC Canvas and Visio.  The evaluation program from Canvas was downloaded and can be used to edit file.  The next OGIWED meeting will be on Friday at 2:15pm.  Raw data signals needed by the pico launcher tray will be provided by Eric and Scott.
  • Accelerometers / Magnetometer
    • Update.  It was decided to re-engineer and update the accelero design.  Amy is coordinating the design effort.  Wade is working on the layout.  The next design meeting for the accleros is Friday at 10am in 007.  Jamie will send update to Joe Carroll.
  • Communications 
    • FCC Approval.  Prof. Twiggs update.  Keep reminding him.  Twiggs is working on the FCC info.  A decision needs to be made about the current comm system and whether or not to use it.  Need to figure out Artemis interface.
  • Launch Interface 
    • Update.  David and Jeff generated a detailed task list.  Santiago will divvy up the task list among the SSDL machinists and DAvid will coordinate their work.  The launch interface drawings need to be update by Jeff.  Allison needs to be asked for info on the cup and cones.
  • Picosatellite Launcher 
    • Update. Quote received from Eaton.  Prof. Twiggs will check on getting purchase order for the EM.  This needs to be done this week.
    • Summary of launcher instrumentation.  Eric has first draft of docs.  He will send out info to email list.  Next meeting is 2:30 on Thursday.
  • Power 
    • Update.  Materials are being checked on for the masks.  Awaiting news from Lockheed.  Dteremine trickle charge needs.  Determine alternate turn on sequence.
    • Any news from Lockheed?  Tom Pace is checking on mylar, glue, and interconnects.  He should get back in touch with Carlos G.S. by the end of this week.  Prof. Twiggs will contact George Welik to find about Lockheed involvement.
  • Structure 
    • Update.  Work is progressing fine.  Inserts are being sent from Shur-Lok.  Santiago and Alejandro are building mass boxes.
  • Testing  
    • Update.  David, Jeff, and Jamie will update testing needs list.  Loral has an opening for Nov 16th.  Prof Twiggs will work contacts to get a donation of time.  Andy and Jeff need to make comments on the testing procedure.  David will have rev 2 done by this week.  Will take to Lockheed/Loral to have them look it over.  The actuators will also be fired after shake test.
  • JAWSAT
    • Power system need to check on trickle charge.
    • Redundant turn on via Jawsat.
  • Ops
    • Brian has proposed havinga first draft of ops guide by Thanksgiving.
