Subsystem Discussion
Picosat Launcher
Engineering Model -- Jeff
-
Order rect. and Belleville springs,
latch cables -- waiting to hear back from Richard Anderson about possibility
of his machinist producing the springs. (10-27 -- heard from Richard, he
is unable to produce springs)
Jeff to order Belleville
springs
Andy to purchase cables
and suager
-
Fabrication quote and production
-- in purchasing now, should be processed by 10/28 and go to the shop.
Jeff to check with Carolyn to make sure, should have delivery date this
week
-
Dry lube application -- Eric
to contact Dicronite people to find out what we need to do to get in.
Also look into use of teflon tapes
-
Instrumentation -- we have
everything needed for the EM instrumentation except a magnet to use witht
the Hall effect sensor. Instrumentation need to be put together before
we get the EM back
-
Actuators -- received actuators
this week
-
Launch sequence -- no update
-
Test apparatus -- decided
to place EM in OPAL structure to shake it
-
Testing procedures -- will
be integrated into OPAL structure shake test procedures
-
Need to get list of
machining needs to Santiago -- we will need front stops, picosats, actuator
brackets, cable guides, and hinge pins. Put bored out hole in one
picosat to mount actuators for testing
-
Need to check on availability
of pico teams' mass models
Launch Interface -- David
-
Task list
-
Actuator redesign and method
of attaching OPAL -- Jin working on this
-
Part fabrication -- Santiago
has it assigned, but needs details on what is needed; David to order
cup/cones this week
-
Shake interface with OPAL vertically
-
Structural analysis -- Eric
to write this up this week for documentation
-
Test apparatus -- David to
check on specifics from LM
-
Production drawings -- Eric
to start on production drawings for flight interface
Structure -- Santiago
-
Machining coordination --
need details for machining
-
Shake structure:
-
Mass boxes -- almost finished
-
Assemble shake structure
-
Static loads test --
need to start looking at how to go about doing this.
-
Flight structure:
-
Parts to send to WSU for mass
model
Testing -- David and Andy
-
Interface and OPAL structure
verification testing -- David to contact LM tomorrow for update on date
availibility
-
Launcher EM testing
-- to be combined with OPAL structure test
-
Testing procedures -- integrate
EM procedure into structure procedure, fax over to LM early next week after
we get more specific load info from JAWSAT CDR this week
JAWSAT and Orbital Sciences
Corp. -- Jeff
-
Interface Control Document updates
-
JAWSAT CDR & PIWG Oct. 29
at Weber St.
-
OPAL mass model Nov. 30 --
need to find out more specific requirements for mass model at CDR
-
Battery trickle charger through
ASU -- Carlos GS taking this over for coordination with ASU
