Buckley: $80K to OSSS via NEF
was verbally transmitted 9/15/98.(???)

Buckley: Capt Lee PM Optical
Calibration System (Starfire/OCS) told by bosses to have ready to integrate
into JAWSAT on 1 May 1999. Will be re-computed. OSSS to e-mail Capt Lee
on interface needs, Buckley will confirm, Plan on fixed mass (??) and Volume
(??).

Ferring: ASU reiterated willingness
to design & build universal battery trickle charger for top-off at
VAFB. Needs details from everyone (WSU & Stanford data OK). USAFA will
advise.

Chesley: USAFA Orbit desired
at 700km (so Orbital 400nmx395mn @98.6deg OK), with equator crossing at
0900 & 2100 to be determined by Starfire sighting needs. Maj Chesley
to confirm with Capt Lee and advise at next phonecon.

R. Smith: OSSS probably unable
to provide preliminary FEA until 1 October, but will send IDEAS or A-CAD
file to Orbital & CSA by Wed. 9/23/98. Orbital needs for lateral loads,
CSA for Softride analysis ASAP.

Schoneman: Orbital electronic
drawings of separation system for JAWSAT on CAD at Dulles office,
will see if can transmit to R. Smith @ WSU. (WSU has OK hardcopy).

Chesley: USAFA Sending FALCONSAT
drawing package to Buckley ASAP for transmit to White Sands Missile Range
(WSMR) so can support academy with machining.

Ferring: ASU mass model to WSU
next week via UPS, plus drawing via e-mail.

Chesley: USAFA Targeting 5 Oct
1998 for FALCONSAT cDR.

Sharp: OSSS Confirm JAWSAT CDR
on 15 Oct 1998.

confirm FALCONSAT real requirement to keep storage battery draining and
charging vs. dry cells or thermal battery for separation system).
