  • Opal's mass model recently returned from Weber State. It was supposed to be returned in December! Amy Chaput works happily in the back ground.
  • Close up of bent foot on mass model. Happened during shipping. Actually, this is key documentation information. We used it to remeber how the vehicle interface was oriented with respect to Opal (it's symmetric and there are two ways to mount it to Opal but only will match the holes on Jawsat).

  • The launcher during assembly. On the rear rail are six partially built reflective object sensors used to sense picosatellites in the tube. A fully built one is resting on the middle rails.

  • And what a mess it was. It's amazing it all fit! This is flight Opal with some additional testing circuitry installed.
  • Side view is just as much a mess. The colorful ribbon cable on the left is simulating launch tube telemetry. The protoboard on the table is simulating the launching of pico tubes.
