Opal Flight Construction - May 10, 1999

Opal's antennas are tuned up at Lars Karlsson's workshop.
 
 
  • Opal during antenna tuning. Yes, that's a Gateway computer box. See, we need something non-metallic to support Opal during testing. Opal is supposed to be in "free space". We thought about suspending it from a wooden support structure. In the end, we went with simplicity. And it worked...sort of.
