Opal Update -- March 29, 2000
  1. Opal is currently in nominal operations mode. All systems are functional and performing as expected. Greg and I are working to archive data downloaded as well as analyze the system.
  2. Opal's spin rate has decreased by a factor of two since the last picosatellite launch. It appears temperatures are increasing due to this lower spin rate. Also irregularities in the spin can be seen.
  3. Recent data has been published to web server. We've written several scripts that will speed up publishing of this data. Currently we have to move files from several computers to the server and its a pain (and we're lazy).
  4. Opal has been operational for over 2 months!
